The Ottawa Home + Remodelling Show Jan. 21 to 24 at the EY Centre will attract “a wide roster of experts in home remodelling and renovations,” the show organizers say.
In addition to offering access to a wide variety of Ottawa’s experts, the show will host numerous features that are sure to inspire any homeowner looking to take on their next project.
Bryan Baeumler, HGTV’s renovation expert and host of Leave it to Bryan, Disaster DIY, and House of Bryan, the highest rated series on the HGTV network, will take the stage on Saturday, Jan. 23 from 3 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m., providing his insights to help visitors to get their home renovation priorities in order. Bryan will also be available for autographs and questions in between presentations.
Modern Wood Series by Wood Collective
The Wood Collective, along with the design expertise of Tanya Collins, will present its Modern Wood Series. “This sleek, modern home will be unveiled at the show in a 3,500-sq. ft. area incorporating the most luxurious natural wood finishes and contemporary design for a combination that is sure to inspire.”
Ultimate Upcycle Challenge: Unhinged
In the Ultimate Upcycle Challenge, presented by Rust-Oleum Consumer Brands Canada, participants will source a pre-loved door from Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore and ‘upcycle’ it using Rust-Oleum products to present a brand new piece ready for a second chance at love. The creations will be displayed as part of a silent auction at the Ottawa Home + Remodelling Show, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa.
The challenge will feature several local artists and designers including Ottawa designers Lee-Ann Lacroix, Sarah Kidder and Ottawa Valley visual artist, Kathryn Bossy.
Lowe’s Test a Tool Area
Lowe’s, in association with BOSCH and other partners, will be demonstrating the latest in tools and renovation techniques.
Toyota Truck Experience
Toyota Canada will showcase at booth 830 its truck and SUV line-up, including the 2016 4Runner and Tundra and 2016 Tacoma.
In addition to headliner HGTV’s Bryan Baeumler, the stage will also feature numerous experts in renovations and DIY including Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault, Tanya Collins, John Gordon, Casey Grey, Herb Lagois, and Steve Barkhouse.
The Palason Game Den
Contributing all the games found in the Game Den at Booth 611 is Palason, a family company established since 1975 and well versed in all things ‘Man Cave’ and ‘Game Room’. From pool tables, soccer foosball tables, ping pong, darts, shuffleboards to complete bar decors and even outdoor furniture, they’ve become the one-stop game-shop for home or business.
