A showcase of renovation trends from seven of Ottawa’s innovative Renomark renovators

It’s an outing you probably won’t want to miss – at least, not if you have any interest in seeing what a state-of-the-art renovation looks like.

The first-ever Renotour is coming to Sunday, Ottawa Oct. 18, and it might be the perfect way to size up the work of several noted Ottawa renovators. The tour runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Carolyn Munro Designs, Capital Cellars, Just Basements Ottawa, Home Inc. Design Build Renovations, RND Construction, Carleton Kitchen and Bath and Amsted Design-Build will be standing by, ready to meet you and to show you one of their stunning projects. You might think of it as an open door to possibilities and realities.

Renotour is being hosted by the Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association Renovators’ Council and the Ottawa RenoMark™ program. It is sponsored by well-known businesses in the area, including Deslaurier Custom Cabinets, Ottawa Renovates, Financially Sound Life Planning, Tego Bathroom Design Centre and Metroland Media.

Passports are $10, and proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization devoted to creating a safe and decent place to live for everyone.

Renovators often say the first thing you should do when you’re thinking of a renovation is homework. Homework means getting to know the best renovators in the region – their work, their tastes, their philosophies, their visions.

Renotour is a chance to get a whole lot of homework done in a day. It’s also a good way to see, first hand, what dreams can become.

You can purchase your passport for cash at any of the RenoTour home sites, or online through Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa.
